(CNN) — The US Olympic swimmers facing questions about their reports of being robbed in Rio de Janeiro were involved in a fight at a gas station in the city and committed acts of vandalism there, Brazilian newspaper “O Globo” reports. According to the owner of the the Barra da Tijuca gas station, who the newspaper said chose to remain unnamed, the athletes threw stones at the business and tore one of its signs before urinating in the street. “They stopped next to the gas station, and urinated outside right next to the gas station. We even have images of one of the athlete’s butts, as he is pulling up his pants,” the owner said. CNN has reached out to police and lawyers for the swimmers, but has not received a response. CNN can also not confirm the authenticity of the footage referred to by the owner.
