Get ready to start seeing Lime Scooters around Dallas. If you were wondering if the bike sharing companies were going away anytime soon, nope. The City of Dallas just passed new bike & scooter sharing rules. As part of the new “dockless vehicle” ordinance amendment, rental bike companies will require a permit. Among requirements: They must pick up reported stray bikes within 2 hours during the week, 6am to 6pm and any other time within 12 hours. There has also a ban on riding bikes on downtown sidewalks.
What do they look like? Check it out below.. and be careful riding!
