First off, it’s in North Texas and there are so many things you can do not only in Irving but in neighboring cities, which also didn’t make the top of the list. Of course, most of us want a vacation but many of us also can’t take that time away from work. Perhaps our budget doesn’t allow us to book a flight to some sunny beach, yet there is tons to do around town. If you look hard enough, some of it is even free. Here is the complete list from WalletHub, where it also ranked Dallas #72 and Fort Worth #103. Now, I’ve had great staycations in Fort Worth, should’ve been ranked higher.
Number one on their “Staycation” list was Honolulu, HI
If you do live in Irving, you’ll want to check out their FREE Summer Fun Petting Farm at Fritz Park. There is no admission to visitors of the farm. Details here: CityofIrving.org
