The Texas Comptroller is “on a mission to return more than $5 billion to Texans”. They urged Texans to check to see if you have money at ClaimItTexas.org.
If you’re hesitant, I understand. I was skeptical too, but last year I claimed about $250 from some kind of overpayment to an insurance company. It was easy to claim. I found some for my mom and even some unclaimed property for my dad who passed away almost 5 years ago. You can claim that too with the proper documentation. They’ll walk you through that on the claim page.
