Enjoy free bike rental passes on the first Friday of each month of 2023 in the city of Fort Worth. This all thanks to Blue Zones Project and Fort Worth Bike Sharing.

What: For the fourth consecutive year, Blue Zones Project and Fort Worth Bike Sharing are partnering to provide free all-day bike rental passes on the first Friday of each month during 2023.

How: To access a free Bike Share pass, use promo code 92020APP on the BCycle app when checking out a bike at more than 60 Fort Worth Bike Sharing stations located around Fort Worth. (Check out the station map on the Fort Worth Bike Sharing website.) You can also use promo code 92020 at many of the kiosks. Bikes must be docked back in and checked out every two hours. 

When: Free First Fri-YAY dates for 2023 are: 

January 6	February 3	March 3	April 7	May 5	June 2
July 7	August 4	September 1	October 6	November 3	December 1

Program details: The Free First Fri-YAY was more popular than ever in 2022, with more than 600 bike share passes claimed. Since the program began in 2020, Free First Fri-YAY has provided 1,187 full-day ride passes.  

During the past year, Fort Worth Bike Sharing has added four new stations and more than a dozen BCycle bikes, including 10 new electric bikes. A number of classic bikes have been added featuring colorful, custom-painted designs by local artist Gerald Bell as part of the Fort Worth Bike Sharing #fwbikesy social media blitz, with more of Bell’s bikes ready to be released in 2023.
