Carrie Underwood’s Beauty Secrets!

Batiste Dry Shampoo

So i’ve been learning a whole lot about Carrie Underwood over the past few months. Especially now that she’s a mom. Any mom knows you have a little less time to yourself. Well, turns out she’s as faithful to her dry shampoo as I am to it! Ladies, if you’ve never used it, you’ll love it. It turns out a lot of stars use this little secret including Kacey Musgraves who has said she can go days without washing her hair. I don’t go to that extreme. I use it even right after I wash my hair now cause I’ve noticed it give your hair a little more volume than normal. But it can save you a day between washes. I can’t go more than that. I’m not sure which one Carrie uses, but ill tell you about the one I use.

I was having this conversation about dry shampoos with Connected K, from our morning show and she told me about this awesome one that actually has a little bit of tint of color. If you’ve ever used the regular dry shampoo, (that is basically corn starch, powder, some sort of stuff like that in an aerosol can) it can leave your hair looking a little whitish from the residue. I’m a brunette so this isn’t good. You can try this one, made by Batiste which I was able to find at Walmart. It’s awesome! Or you can go a much more traditional route and just use baby powder.

"Heart" Lashes from Smoke & Mirrors

Another thing I also share with Carrie is my obsession for eye make up! I discovered these false lashes that Carrie actually used for her wedding day. They’re called Smoke & Mirror’s. They now sell the ones that were custom made for her. They’re called the “Heart” Lashes. I actually use the “New York” & “Nashville” lashes which I think are a little more natural. You can use the “Heart” lashes for those special occasions or the others I mentioned on a regular basis. I’ve linked them right here so you can check them out.

And while we’re talking about lashes. I’ve also been pretty faithful to a certain type of mascara. I like trying new ones and always open to others, but I seem to fall back to my favorite from Lancome. Its Hypnose Drama. Its can be a little pricey but worth every penny. You can sometimes find it a little cheaper on eBay or Amazon and any of those online sites, so make sure you check there first. Sometimes the counters at Macy’s and such will have samples for you.

I’m sure we probably share a few more beauty tips and if you have any that you gotta share, please feel free to tell me! I’m always looking for some. You can email at [email protected] or tweet me @michrod on Twitter! See ya around!
