I like many Dallas residents were beyond moved and impacted by the events that occurred on July 7th in Downtown Dallas. Five of our best lost their lives protecting and serving their city and its citizens. I was born and raised in Dallas with family in law enforcement. I wanted to show my support in any way possible and every way possible. As I did, I found out that many other of my fellow Dallas residents felt the same way. I met many people as I visited memorials and the city hall vigil that were affected in one way or another and learned that many of them shared my same feelings. We all want hate to stop and love to live. We all love our neighbors, our city and our country.
