I guess one of the advantages of growing old is that you’ve earned the right to boss around the young people in your family. You can even yell at them and they’ll be okay with it.
That’s what DUSTIN LYNCH’s grandma will be doing over the holidays. She plays piano at their church and she always puts together a family program, and asks that everyone sing . . . whether they want to or not.
He says, quote, “She’ll yell at us if we’re not singing and participating.”
She probably doesn’t care that he sings for a living and needs to save his voice as much as possible. So, he’s found a way to avoid her wrath. Quote, “I kind of stand in the back and let everybody take the reins.”
